MR. POTATO

Hey! Good morning everyone!
It's me, Mr. Potato!!
Do you know me? I am that famous potato that you can play with changing my body parts as many time as you want. It is actually very fun to play with me... and you can learn a lot of things! So, that is what all the four year old children of the Santa Gema School did in the English classroom last week.

We started learning all the body parts with songs and games like "Simon says". And then, we wanted to experience with the real Mr. Potato! We first thought how many things we needed:

1 nose
1 mouth
2 eyes
2 ears
2 arms
2 feet
and even a hat if you wanted to!

After have been playing for a while, we made our own potatoes. We chose our favourites body parts, then we decorated them, cut them and pasted them... and finally we had a lot of different potatoes! Even a fireman potato...

Christmas time in the English Classroom

It's Christmas time so we are getting ready to celebrate this special moment with our friends and families. We wanted to make our own gift for our families so we made a Christmas tree!!

For it, we cut different color papers and pasted them in a beautiful order: dark, light, dark, light... Then, we decorated it with some Christmas balls using our magic fingers and finger paint.

The result was fantastic! Hopefully you'll love it...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

YELLOW

Y E L L O W  spells yellow
Y E L L O W  spells yellow

Like the early morning sun
When the day has just begun
Y E L L O W  spells yellow

Daffodils and baby ducks are yellow
Lemonade and scrambled eggs are yellow
I like the smiley face that's yellow
He is such a happy fellow!

Y E L L O W  spells yellow

In our English lessons we have learnt a new colour, can you guess what colour is it?

We've played with the chairs and we had to choose the yellow one trying to go up on it. It was very funny and we enjoyed a lot!

THE NUMBER ONE

In 3 years old classrooms we are learning the number: one.

Our conversation assistant Oliver and our English teachers taught us how to draw it.

We used finger paint on a big sheet of paper and chalk on the floor. Here, you can see some pictures of us with the number one.

HALLOWEEN

This is Halloween! Uhhhhh....uhhhhh....!!

Last Friday we were preparing our decorations for Halloween.

Pumpkins, witches, evils, ghosts and many more monsters were all coloured in!

We love using finger paint and crayons, so our teachers helped us and this is how our 3 years old corridor looks like right now...Terrifying!

¡¡¡¡¡TROGLO, TROGLO, TROGLO… TROGLO, TROGLODITA SOY!!!!!

SPELLING BEE

Last Thursday, on the 12th of June, 5 years old children were taking part  on the first “Spelling Bee Contest”.

There were  9 finalists, and they made a big effort to win it. The contest consisted on spelling a number of words.

Firstly,  they were able to see a flashcard with the drawing and the word, but then it was more and more difficult .

They showed us that they were champions and we are very proud of them! Congratulations to all of them!
