"A Halloween story"

One very spooky Halloween a little
boy and his friends went out for
a fun night of trick-or-treating.
Little did they know, it would be
a night they would not soon forget!!!

Un Halloween muy espeluznante, un niño pequeño y sus amigos salieron a una divertida noche de trick-or-treating.
Poco sabían, que sería una noche que no olvidarían pronto!!!

At first everything was great. They were getting lots
of candy as they went from house to house.
They passed other trick-or-treaters along the way.
They saw funny costumes and scary costumes. They
were having a really fun time. But then...

Al principio todo era grande. Obtenían muchos dulces yendo de casa en casa.
Pasaron otros trick-or-treaters a lo largo del camino.
Vieron divertidos disfraces y trajes de miedo. Ellos estaban teniendo un momento realmente divertido. Pero, entonces...
they saw a house. A house they hadn't been to before.
It was a very spooky looking house. Being young and
brave, they decided to go up to the door and knock.
After all, scary houses might have the best candy!
As they walked up the long winding path they saw...ellos vieron una casa. Una casa que no habían estado antes.
Era una casa de aspecto muy espeluznante. Siendo jóvenes y
valientes, decidieron ir a la puerta y llamar.
Después de todo, ¡las casas de miedo podrían tener mejores caramelos!
Anduvieron el largo sinuoso camino y vieron…

They saw things that chilled them to the bone! They heard sounds that frightened them. Maybe they should turn back. But the little boy, being very brave, just had to see what was in that house. So on they went. Not deterred by the things they heard or saw. As they slowly worked their way up to the door...

¡Vieron las cosas que les helaron los huesos! Escucharon sonidos que les asusto.
Tal vez debían volver. Pero el pequeño niño, siendo muy valiente, tenía que ver lo que había en esa casa. Así que ellos fueron. No disuadido por las cosas que había oído o visto. Lentamente realizaron su camino hasta la puerta...

They imagined what might be inside.
Maybe a witch or a maybe a ghost.
But they weren't prepared for what came to the door...

Imaginaban lo que podría haber dentro.
Tal vez un bruja o quizá un fantasma.
Pero no estaban preparados para lo que llegó a la puerta...

After knocking several times, the door slowly creaked open.
And to their frightened surprise a monster was coming out to greet them

They were so scared they couldn't move! What were they to do?

Después de golpear varias veces, la puerta lentamente, crujiendo, se abrió.
Y para su sorpresa, asustados, estaba llegando un monstruo para saludarles.
¡Estaban tan asustados que no se podían mover! ¿Qué hicieron ellos?

Then the little boy had an idea. He said... And the big scary monster, much to the kids surprise, reached inside and brought out a huge bowl of the best kinds of candy they had seen all night. Wow, the kids thought, this is great! It turned out that the house was decorated for halloween, and the big scary monster just had on a costume like the kids did. Since they were the only kids brave enough to go to the haunted house, they got to take as much candy as they wanted. What a way to end a great night of Halloween fun.
A continuación, el pequeño niño tuvo una idea. Dijo... Trick or Treat
Y el gran monstruo, para sorpresa de los niños, alcanzó dentro y sacó un enorme tazón de los mejores tipos de caramelo que habían visto en toda la noche. ¡Oh, los niños pensaron, esto es genial! Resultó que la casa fue decorada para Halloween, y el gran monstruo sólo era un traje como el de los niños. Ya que sólo los niños fueron lo suficientemente valientes para ir a la casa embrujada, llegaron a tener tantos dulces como querían. Qué manera de poner fin a una gran noche divertida de Halloween.
